A Little About the Jazz

In 1974, the Utah Jazz was founded as the New Orleans Jazz, but became the Utah Jazz 5 years later.  The Jazz had a hard time adjusting to the NBA after the joined.  It wasn't until 1984, 10 years after they were established, that they finally made a playoff appearance.  Thanks to power players John Stockton and Karl Malone and coach Jerry Sloan, the Jazz didn't miss the playoffs again until 2004.  Through the years the team has acquired a number of titles and several NBA Finals appearances in 1997 and 1998, both lost to the Chicago Bulls.  Even though the team has no championship wins, they still have 2 conference titles and 8 division titles, the most recent in 2008, making it very likely that the Jazz will be returning in the new season as a force to be reckoned with.  Can they Jazz go all the way in the 2009-10 season?  Find out by getting your tickets to Energy Solutions Arena and cheering on the Jazz to a fantastic new season!
