A Little About the Blue Jays
Unfortunately for the Blue Jays, 2008 didn't go so well, with them finishing 4th in the AL East. To try and help them to improve in the 2009 season, the team brought on Kevin Millar, Mike Maroth, Matt Clement, Michael Barrett, and Ken Takahashi but lost starter A.J. Burnett. All that remains now is for players Adam Lind and Travis Snider reaching their full potential and the Blue Jays may have a shot at the division title and possibly even further. Even if the team turns everything around in 2009, it's nothing without its fans so make sure you get your tickets to Rogers Centre and support the Toronto Blue Jays to a winning season in 2009!
In the Beginning
In 1977, Canada got 2nd Major League team, the Toronto Blue Jays. The team had a hard time in its early years, staying in last place for 6 years in a row, but as soon as Bobby Cox took over in 1982 as manager, changes were obvious. In 1983 the team finished 4th, then in 1985 the Blue Jays won their first Division title. Sadly, however, the team eventually lost to future world champion Kansas City Royals.
