A Little About the Flyers

The 2008-09 season went pretty good for the Philadelphia Flyers, putting them in 3rd place in the Atlantic Division and making it to the playoffs, where they were knocked out in the first round by the Penguins.  In an effort to improve their chances for the 2009-10 season, GM Paul Holmgren acquired former league MVP and Norris Trophy winner Chris Pronger.  With already strong players like Jeff Carter, Ray Emery, and Claude Giroux, Pronger will be a nice addition to possibly lead the Flyers to the Stanley Cup.  Things are looking bright for the new season so make sure you get your tickets to the Wachovia Center today!

Through their years, the Philadelphia Flyers have consistently made the playoffs and won back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975 with players Bobby Clarke, Bill Barber, and Bernie Parent.
