A Little About the Senators

A 4th place finish in the Northeast Division and a failure to make the playoffs was an obvious indicator that the Ottawa Senators needed a change.  During offseason, Dany Heatley was traded for Jonathan Cheechoo and Milan Michalek.  The team also acquired Alexei Kovalev in an effort to balance out the offense, along with new goalie Pascal Leclaire.  With these new players, the Senators have a good shot at doing well in the 2009-10 season so make sure you get your tickets to the Scotiabank Place today!

Since their start in 1997, the Ottawa Senators have made the playoffs 9 times in a row.  Unfortunately the team has never won the Stanley Cup but has been close several times.  2002-03 was definitely the best season for the Sentaors until they unfortunately lost in 7 games to eventual champion New Jersey Devils in the Easter Conference finals.
