A Little About the Canadiens
Though finishing 2nd in the Northeast Division and making the playoffs, the team still didn't meet the expectations placed on them for the 2008-09 season. In order to try to do a better job in the new season, there were a lot of changes during offseason. New coach Jacques Martin was added, along with Paul Mara, Jaroslav Spacek, Mike Cammalleri, Hal Gill, Brian Gionta, Scott omez, and Travis Moen. With a completely new lineup, hopes are high for the Canadiens in the 2009-10 season so make sure you get your tickest to the Bell Centre today!
Having been started in 1916, the Montreal Canadiens have acquired 76 playoff appearances and 24 Stanley Cup wins. Since 1993 however, they have acquired none. Through the years, star players like Patrick Roy and Guy Lafleur have played for the team along with the coaching of Toe Blake. Since moving to the newly opened Bell Centre, the "Habs" have been having a harder time, but still get the support of about 850,000 fans a year.
