A Little About the Twins

The Twins  made some pretty good improvements from the 2007 season, going from a win average of .488 to .540 in 2008 and only missing the division title by one game.  Knowing that the team could only improve more, there were not that many changes in offseason.  In Pat Neshek's absence, the team picked up Luis Ayala and All-Star 3rd basemen Joe Crede.  With a team chock full of young, promising players like Glen Perkins, Scott Baker, Nick Blackburn, and Kevin Slowey, catcher Joe Mauer, and closer Joe Nathan, the team is pretty much set for the 2009 season.  If they stay on the improvement streak they're on, the Twins will easily take the AL Central Division title and possibly even have a chance at winning the World Series in 2009.  Since the team is moving to Target Field in 2010, this will be their last year at the HHH Metrodome so make sure you get your tickets and experience the history and excitement today!

Early Years of the Twins

In 1961, when the Washington Senators moved to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Area, the Minnesota Twins were born.  Unfortunately however, the Twins had a bad record to go off of with the Senators being one of the poorer MLB franchises with only 1 World Series win in over 60 years.
