A Little About the Warriors¬¬

When the Warriors were first establish in 1946 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as part of the BAA (later the NBA), they didn't waste any time in showing what they had.  The team went on to win the BAA championship that season.  In 1962 the team moved to San Francisco, California, giving them the name the San Francisco Warriors, then in 1971 changed the name to the current Golden State Warriors.  Through their years as both the Philadelphia Warriors and the San Francisco/Golden State Warriors, the team as accumulated 7 division titles, 6 conference titles, and 3 championship titles (including the one obtained in 1947 in the BAA).  Unfortunately, however, the team has to win a title since 1976.  Will all this time off be a sure sign of a comeback?  Find out by getting your tickets to Oracle Arena and cheering on the Warriors to an exciting 2009-10 season!
