The University of Florida Gators football team is one of twelve members of the Southeastern Conference represents the University of Florida located in Gainesville, Florida.   The Gators first fielded a varsity football team in the fall of 1906 and have won eight Southeastern Conference (SEC) championships, and three national championships (1996, 2006, 2008).  They play their home games in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium at Florida Field more commonly known as "the Swamp".
