A Little About the Pistons

After being founded in 1941 in the NBL, the then Fort Wayne Pistons have kept their winning going pretty well.  While in the NBL, the Pistons accumulated 4 division titles and 2 champion ship titles in 1944 and 1945.  While still known as the Fort Wayne Pistons until 1957 when they switched to Detroit, the team acquired 2 Western Conference titles as well as 2 NBA division titles in 1955 and 1956.  When the team moved to Detroit, however, it took them 3 decades to become any kind of competition.  In 1988, the Pistons finally won another division title and their winnings picked up from there.  After that win the Pistons went on to win 8 more division titles, 5 Eastern conference titles, and 3 NBA championships.  With their last championship win in 2004, and their last division title in 2008, there's nothing stopping the Pistons from winning it all in the new season so make sure you get your tickets to The Palace of Auburn Hills and cheer on the Detroit Pistons to victory!
